Country overview

The U.S. Virgin Islands is the Caribbean we book for travelers who want the islands without the international friction. No passport required (a U.S. driver's license clears you), the U.S. dollar is the currency, and the flight times from the East Coast are shorter than most Mexico flights. St. Thomas, St. John, and St. Croix each book differently — and we route them differently.

St. Thomas is the cruise port and shopping island, with the resort inventory to match. St. John is two-thirds national park, quieter, and the trip we route for travelers who want hiking, snorkeling, and one of the best beaches in the Caribbean (Trunk Bay) without the crowds. St. Croix is the working island — historic, Danish-influenced, and the value play of the three. Most clients we route through USVI book St. Thomas plus a 2-3 day St. John add-on.

  • St. John day from St. Thomas — Trunk Bay & Cinnamon Bay
  • Magens Bay sailing & snorkel day
  • Ferry to BVIs (passport required for that hop)
  • Buck Island reef tour from St. Croix
  • Cruzan Rum distillery tour
  • Optional villa rental on St. John for groups

USVI runs year-round. December through April is peak. June through November is hurricane season — most years are fine, but we recommend booking with travel insurance during this window.
